The graphic image of FUSO 2023 builds on the visual identity developed in 2022 from the concept of time zones, and the lines that define them.
The system expands the use of linear elements and elliptical forms, creating dynamic compositions that suggest movement, continuity, and temporal overlap.
The graphic language adapts flexibly across formats, from posters to digital media, allowing the lines to shift, intersect, and frame content, much like time zones intersect across geographies.
About FUSO:
Founded in 2009, FUSO is Lisbon’s only open-air video art festival, presented in distinctive locations such as gardens and museum cloisters. With free admission, the festival brings together artists, curators, institutions, and the general public engaged in moving-image practices.
Launched in 2019, FUSO INSULAR extends the festival’s mission to the Azores, addressing a gap in the region’s artistic landscape by fostering knowledge, training, and critical engagement with moving-image art.
Through contrast, rhythm, and scale, the visuals evoke the passing of time and the fluid nature of the moving image, reinforcing FUSO’s role as a platform for contemporary video art.
