Lugares de Fractura

Lugares de Fractura (Places of Fracture), was the first survey exhibition dedicated to the work of Maria José Cavaco (Ponta Delgada, 1967-2022) at Arquipélago - Centro de Artes Contemporâneas in Azores. The exhibition, which featured work produced by the artist between the year 2000 and 2021, was conceived in a very open and fluid way.
Curator João Mourão wrote: “The practice of Maria José Cavaco gives rise to a constant relationship between our body and the artistic
