Poster developed as a reaction for the loss of women’s rights in the USA in 2022.

On June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court of the United States overturned the case of Roe v. Wade. In deep grief and anger over the rollback of abortion rights in the U.S., ilhas studio designed a series of protest posters. As women, we unite our voices with those of all protests for freedom. The phrase on the poster “the uterus is the size of a fist” is borrowed from the book “O útero é do tamanho de um punho” by the poet Angélica Freitas. We stand together.
